Indifference and self-confidence. These are the two concepts that describe the style Pepa Salazar proposed for spring 2025. She dubbed its aesthetic as HangoverCore.
With this collection, Salazar went against the grain of prevailing trends. In a world striving for aesthetic perfection, the Spanish designer bet on a calculated nonchalance to highlight individual character. Keeping this in mind, she blended her signature draped dresses with surfer aesthetics including asymmetrical tops, Hawaiian prints, and tie-dye. As usual, she didn’t overlook her nerdy side; this time it was reflected in her best-selling bags, which incorporated hentai iconography and memorable phrases such as, “I love you. I know.” A statement befitting this playful and self-assured designer.
