Treehouse Food is expanding a recall to include all products manufactured at its Ontario, Canada, facility due to the possibility that they could be contaminated with listeria.

The private-label company said the recall was expanded to include frozen toaster waffles, Belgian waffles and pancake products. TreeHouse first recalled certain waffle products last week that were made at the plant.

“This recall was expanded based on additional testing at the manufacturing facility,” TreeHouse said in a statement. “There have been no confirmed reports of illness linked to the recalled products to date.”

It’s the second major recall to impact TreeHouse Foods in the last two years. The company initiated a broth recall in September 2023. It has continued to weigh on the private label manufacturer this year as it invested in modernizing the facility where the broth was made.

In a research note, Robert Moskow, an analyst at TD Cowen, said the latest recall involving waffles and pancakes “reinforces our ongoing concern about the inconsistent performance of the company’s manufacturing assets, which is the key to success in any co-packing business.”

Earlier this month, BrucePac recalled nearly 12 million pounds of meat and poultry due to possible listeria contamination. Some of the products were distributed to schools.
