Dave Kersey has been appointed senior vice president of media at L’Oréal USA. He joins the company from Omnicom Media Group-owned marketing agency Gsd&m, and will report to L’Oréal USA’s chief digital and marketing officer, Han Wen, in his new role.
J-beauty group Kao has promoted Nicola Bäuerle to director of sustainability for its AEMEA [Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa] business. The appointment is part of the company’s Kirei lifestyle plan to reduce its environmental footprint, which Bäeurle also benefited in her previous role leading sustainability efforts for Kao’s consumer care business for the regions.
U.K.-based The Inkey List has enlisted Nathalie Manivong as its first chief marketing officer. Previously, Manivong held the role at wellness company Cocon and honey-infused hair care brand Gisou, and has completed senior leadership stints at L’Oréal Luxe, Peach & Lily and Cover FX.
Luxury skin care brand 111Skin has tapped Vanessa Goddevrind as chief executive officer. She will work alongside cofounders Dr. Yannis Alexandrides and Eva Alexandridis — who is also chief creative officer — to continue scaling the brand.
Former Luna Daily chief commercial officer Karen Raghavan is now global president at Allies of Skin, in which she will lead the brand’s expansion efforts. Before her time at Luna Daily, Raghavan held vice president roles at Biossance and Benefit Cosmetics.
Dr. Kate McLean has joined biotech start-up Evvy as chief medical officer. In her new position, McLean will expand patient offerings and support the brand’s mission to increase understanding of women’s health. Built in collaboration with gynecologists, the brand offers at-home vaginal microbiome tests.
