Selena Gomez is giving us a head start on winter manicure inspiration. The star, who has become one of the biggest nail trendsetters of the decade, swapped her cozy fall nudes in favor of something a little more out-of-this-world.
Gomez has been drawn to more traditionally “fall” nail colors as of late, kicking off the season with a custom-blended orange-red, then transitioning to toffee, a smoky purple-gold, and vanilla chai nails. For the 2024 Academy Museum Gala, however, Gomez and her go-to manicurist Tom Bachik decided to ditch the fall colors and look to the stars for inspo with a “cosmic silver gloss” mani.
Prior to the event, Gomez had been sporting long, almond-shaped nude nails, perfect for all the press and promo she’d been doing for her movie Emilia Pérez. For the gala, however, she went back to a shorter length in a softer almond shape. Bachik groomed Gomez’s nails with Olive & June’s Cuticle Remover and his Tweezerman essentials kit, then applied an as-yet-unreleased shade from Olive & June called Cosmic Silver and finished with the brand’s Cuticle Serum. (The polish drops October 24, so you don’t have long to wait to get your hands on it.)
