Japanese beauty conglomerate Kosé announced on Tuesday that it has acquired the Thai beauty brand Pañpuri. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, though Pañpuri said it generated revenues of $32 million in 2024.
Founded in Bangkok in 2003 by Vorravit Siripark, Pañpuri is known for its range of premium bath and body, hair care, skincare and fragrance products, which take inspiration from Thai indigenous wellness practices. In Thailand, the brand has 26 free-standing stores, and is stocked at luxury spas and malls like Central World and Emquartier. Pañpuri can also be found in 15 countries throughout Europe and Asia, and is sold at the Isetan Shinjuku and Hankyu Umeda department stores in Japan, and K11 Musea in Hong Kong.
The Japanese beauty conglomerate said in a statement that the acquisition would allow Pañpuri to accelerate its presence in international markets as an “authentic luxury wellness brand from Asia.” PwC Thailand advised on the deal. Kosé’s portfolio includes brands like Decorté, a luxury skincare label established by the conglomerate in 1970, and Tarte, the cosmetics label founded in the US in 1999 and acquired by Kosé in 2014.
The brand was previously owned by Siripark, his family, and the private equity firm Lakeshore Capital.
